3 drug pushers fall, P1-M shabu seized in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested three suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Purok Progress Village 2, Barangay Vista Alegre here on Thursday, January 11.

THREE persons, including a teenager, were nabbed in a buy-bust operation and P1-million worth of suspected shabu was seized from them in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City on Thursday, January 11. (Photo courtesy of Bacolod City Police Office)

The suspects were identified as Christian Gayoso, 24; his stepbrother Lance Bawiga, 18, and Gayoso’s brother-in-law, Jason Bayson, 29.

Seized from them were 157 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,067,600, the P10,000 marked money, and P300.

Gayoso is a high-value individual while Bawiga and Bayson were street-level individuals.

Police Capt. Joven Mogato, City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) head, said that Gayoso’s older brother was arrested for a drug offense last September.

They monitored Christian after learning that he allegedly assumed his older brother’s illegal activity.

Drug charges are being readied against the suspects.
