2 men drown in Pangasinan


CAMP FLORENDO, La Union – Two persons drowned in Pangasinan on Tuesday, January 9.

Police identified the victims as Raymundo A. Limon, 48, unemployed, of Barangay Lareg- lareg, Malasiqui, Pangasinan, and Herminio T. Pagud, 55, a fisherman, from Barangay Luciente 1, Bolinao, Pangasinan.

Limon was swimming with his relatives on the Agno River in Barangay San Patricio, Santa Maria, when he failed to resurface. 

He was rescued unconscious and taken to the hospital but died on the way.

Pagud went to the sea in Baranga Luciente 1 to fetch sea grapes but failed to return home.

His body was later seen floating by his relatives on the sea 20 to 30 meters away from the shoreline.
