Rizal Police arrest drug pusher, most wanted for rape

The first nine days of the New Year proved to be a success in the anti-criminality campaign of the Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) with the arrest of two of the province's biggest catch.

In Binangonan, Rizal, a drug suspect, tagged by authorities as a High Value Individual in the illegal drugs trade was arrested by the Binangonan Police on Jan. 9 after he yielded 51.06 grams of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Darangan.

Rizal PPO Director Col. Felipe Maraggun said the suspect yielded twelve plastic sachets of the suspected illegal drug worth P347,208 during the police operation.

Another major accomplishment of the PPO was the arrest in Angono, Rizal of a 73-year-old man tagged as Region 4-A’s most wanted for qualified rape.

Angono Police Station’s chief of police Maj. Lauro Moratillo said the joint operation of the Region 4-A Police and the Angono Police Station against the wanted person came following the issuance of a warrant of arrest by the Regional Trial Court.
