Pacquiao named honorary president of Taiwan boxing league

The 45-year-old Pacquiao is expected to promote the professional boxing league and share his valuable knowledge to aspiring boxers in Taiwan.

Former eight-division boxing world champion Manny Pacquiao is up for a huge task ahead of his exhibition match in Thailand after he was named as the honorary president of Taiwan's Carry Fighting Championship.

The 45-year-old Pacquiao is expected to promote the professional boxing league and share his valuable knowledge to aspiring boxers in Taiwan.

The tournament also targets global attention and develop the sport in the country.

The boxing icon, who will fight Muay Thai legend Buakaw Banchamek on April 20 in Bangkok, collaborated with Taiwan Fighting Sports Co. to lead the league which will kick off in March.
