More than P600,000 worth of illegal drugs seized in Caloocan, Navotas buy-busts

Operatives of the Northern Police District (NPD) seized a total of P680,956 worth of alleged shabu and marijuana, and arrested eight suspects in separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Caloocan and Navotas.

In the first operation, members of Navotas City Police Station (NCPS) confiscated P37,808 worth of alleged shabu from alias “Eric,” 50, and alias “Pudong,” 37 on Martires St. in Barangay San Jose, Navotas City, at around 2:24 a.m. on Jan. 5. .

Meanwhile, Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) personnel apprehended alias “Topher,” 27; alias “Junior,” 42; and alias “Dekdek,” 22, all residents of Caloocan City.

Police seized from them 13.50 grams of shabu worth P91,100 and the buy-bust money on 2nd Avenue in Barangay 120, Caloocan City at around 10:40 p.m. on Jan. 4.

The same operatives confiscated P356,048 worth of shabu from alias “Tanuno,” 37, and alias “Jomar,” 25, during a drug sting on 1st Avenue beside a gasoline station in Barangay 120, Caloocan City, at around 12 a.m. on Jan. 6.

CCPS operatives also seized P196,000 worth of shabu and marijuana in another buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of alias “Noel,” 34, at around 11:55 p.m. on Jan. 7., at Phase 4, Package 3, Barangay 176, Bagong Silang Caloocan City.

The arrested suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
