ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu valued at P7.95 million from two major drug pushers in this city.

Suspects “Pirot” and “Erwin” yielded 1.1 kilos of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Malipayon-Delgado on Wednesday night.
The Police Regional Office-6 lauded another high-impact operation by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU)-6 led by Police Capt. Glenn Soliman.
“Good job! We have stopped the spread of illegal drugs in the region,” said Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, PRO-6 director, in a statement Thursday.
This is the biggest haul in Iloilo of illegal drugs so far this year.
This big volume of shabu may be intended as supply for the upcoming Dinagyang Festival here.
The operation was backed by several units of the Iloilo City Police Office – the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT), and the Police Station Drug Enforcement Team.
Suspects are facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
