Through its Housing and Urban Development And Resettlement Department, the LGU initiated the relocation of 120 families to Ciudad Kaunlaran, an in-city resettlement site project launched in June 2021 and funded by the National Housing Authority (NHA) in coordination with the city government.

In his speech, Mayor Strike B. Revilla said the LGU did its best to relocate informal settlers within the city instead of sending them to resettlement sites in other parts of Cavite.

The city government observed through the years that many relocatees move back to Bacoor, drawn back by their deep-rooted connections to the area.

“Kung ano ang development na kailangan dito, magtatayo tayo. Kung kinakailangan ng covered court, maglalagay tayo dito. Pati eskwelahan, maglalagay tayo rito (Whatever development you need here, we will build. If there is a need for a covered court, we will build one. Even a school, we will build one here),” Revilla said.
