The Department of Health (DOH), in collaboration with the Quiapo Church Operations Center on Wednesday, Jan. 10 reported 751 injuries during the Traslacion, as part of the Feast of the Black Nazarene, on Jan. 9.

DOH said there were two gastrointestinal injuries, 11 respiratory injuries, 40 trauma cases, 51 neuro cases, 11 cardio cases, and 636 other injuries.
One gastrointestinal case, seven respiratory injuries, eight trauma cases, 13 neuro cases, and 390 other injuries were reported at Quiapo Church, making it a hotspot for health-related incidents.
Meanwhile, the procession segments witnessed one gastrointestinal case, one respiratory injury, 29 trauma cases, 29 neuro cases, nine cardio cases, and 236 other injuries.
In the Grandstand area, three respiratory injuries, three trauma cases, nine neuro cases, two cardio cases, and 10 other injuries were recorded.
The Quiapo Church Operations Center reported an estimated crowd of 1,947,508 people gathered on the church grounds.
Furthermore, 3,227,090 people actively participated in the procession segments, with 939,000 waiting in the Quirino Grandstand.
Meanwhile, there were no incidents involving law and order, security, or general safety during the Traslacion.
It emphasized that authorities were able to maintain control and ensure the safety of the large crowd, which contributed to the event's overall success.
