1,809 wanted persons nabbed in Cordillera in 2023

CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Police nabbed 1,809 wanted individuals in the Cordillera region from January 1 to December 31 last year.

Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., Police Regional Office-Cordillera director, said the Baguio City Police Office arrested 618 wanted persons, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with 534, Ifugao PPO with 189, Abra PPO with 159, Kalinga PPO with 146, Apayao PPO with 89, and Mountain Province PPO with 74.

Two-hundred seventy-four individuals were listed as most wanted persons on various levels – 20 on the regional, 139 on the provincial, and 115 on the municipal.

Peredo commended the men and women of PRO-Cordillera for conducting manhunt operations that resulted in the successful apprehension of these wanted persons.
