Classes, government work suspended in Bulacan

Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando suspended classes in all levels in both public and private schools as well as government work due to Tropical Storm Enteng on Monday, Sept.2.

However, work in agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster response, and other vital public services will continue.

The suspension of classes was based on the recommendation of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC).

As the province prepared for precautionary measures to ensure the safety of Bulakenyos, the PDRRMC mobilized rescue and emergency teams as well as trucks and ambulances for swift deployment.

Fernando advised Bulakenyos to stay alert and always be prepared in cases of emergencies due to heavy rains.

Rescue teams in the coastal areas of Obando, Paombong, Bulakan, Hagonoy, and Calumpit have also been alerted.
