In an almost eight-minute Tiktok video, Yulo, who has San Jose appearing in his background, answered some lingering questions that caught the public's attention as the feud between him and his mother took the social media by storm right after he won his first gold in floor exercise.

The eldest among three children, Carlos alleged that his mother used his cash incentives without his consent from his winnings in the 2022 Liverpool world championships. In that competition, Yulo bagged silver in vault and bronze in parallel bars.

"I went home by December, and she did not tell me that she had already received the incentives," said Carlos in Filipino, who alleged that the bonus is worth "six figures".

"I wouldn't know if I didn't ask," he continued. "I just wanted to know, where did it go?"

Carlos also defended his girlfriend, who was raised in Australia and "had a different culture", which, he said, did not fit well with his mother's preference.

"She didn't like Chloe before even seeing her personally," the Olympic champion said.

He added that San Jose has her own income, and that all his bank accounts "are being handled" by his mom before.

Carlos also alleged that upon requesting for a bank statement of his account, which also has his monthly allowances as a national athlete, he learned that Angelica withdrew money without his permission.

Earlier, Angelica Yulo tapped the services of lawyer Raymond Fortun, who warned the public to stop spreading false information.

According to Fortun, they will seek the help of the National Bureau of Investigation in finding the perpetrators of the fake posts that targeted Angelica.

Carlos Yulo stands to receive cash bonuses worth of P40 million for his Olympics success in floor exercise and vault.
