Two Chinese arrested for illegal recruitment, 13 foreigners rescued in Pampanga
Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested two foreigners tagged in illegal recruitment activities during an operation at the Clark Freeport Zone in Mabalacat, Pampanga.
CIDG director Maj. Gen. Leo M. Francisco said the operation was an offshoot of intelligence works based on the reports of the alleged involvement of two Chinese nationals in illegal recruitment and human trafficking.
He identified the arrested suspects as alias Tian Zhu and a certain Tiago.
Armed with search warrants, CIDG operatives swooped down on the office of the suspects on Tuesday, July 30, and resulted in the rescue of 13 Chinese, including two females and three minors.
Seized during the operation were vaults, various foreign currencies, assorted documents, computer sets, cellphones, and other gadgets.
