ALI, Prime Infra partner for waste management

From waste to refuse-derived fuel

Property giant Ayala Land Inc. (ALI) and its real estate investment trust, AREIT Inc., have tapped Razon-led Prime Infrastructure for sustainable waste management.

Trash produced by eight AREIT office buildings will be processed at Prime Integrated Waste Solutions' (PWS) facility in Binaliw, Cebu City, to “industrialize waste management at the national level.”

The facility uses equipment that is said to process 80 to 90 percent of every ton of waste, which can be reused to produce refuse-derived fuel.

“We are delighted to collaborate with ALI and AREIT as they share our commitment to innovative waste management solutions that will drive a cleaner and more sustainable future for all stakeholders,” said Cara Peralta, waste sector lead at Prime Infra.

According to the Razon-led company, ALI wants to expand its partnership with PWS across its other commercial properties in the coming months to maximize resource recovery.

“We’re going to provide services in a very sustainable and socially relevant way, and we very much look forward to a long-lasting relationship,” said Prime Infra president and CEO Guillaume Lucci.

PWS has also built a waste recovery facility in Pampanga that can process up to 5,000 tons of waste daily.
