Fire hits home in Taguig


A fire hit a two-storey house in Barangay Ibayo-Tipas in Taguig City on June 13. 

The Taguig City Fire Station reported that the fire happened at 1:28 p.m. at No. 8 Daang Manunuso. 

Firefighters raised the first alarm at 1:37 p.m. before the blaze was put out at 1:46 p.m.

The fire damaged P30,000 worth of properties and affected one family with five members. 

The fire station said the fire originated from the second floor of the house and was caused by electrical ignition of an extension cord. 

A total of six fire trucks, 10 tankers from volunteers and local government units, and two ambulances responded to the incident.
