P2-M shabu seized on Good Friday in Taguig


Taguig police seized P2 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested two high-value targets in a buy-bust operation on Good Friday, March 29. 

The suspects were identified as alias Sojod, 20, and alias Mando, 22. 

They were arrested during the operation on MLQ Street in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Taguig led by the Taguig Police’s Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Mobile Patrol Unit and Substation 9 personnel.

During the operation, the police confiscated six plastic sachets containing 305 grams of suspected shabu worth P2,074,000, P1,000 bill on top of 69 pieces of P1,000 boodle money used as buy-bust money. 

The two suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) that will be filed with the Taguig City Prosecutor's Office.

“The apprehension of two high-value targets and the seizure of a significant quantity of suspected shabu demonstrate our resolve to uphold the law and protect our citizens from the dangers of drugs,” said Brig. Gen. Mark Pespes, Southern Police District director.
