The mayor was touched by TEAM's decision to make him induction officer, while acknowledging that his popularity with TEAM hinges on the officers' and members' closeness to his wife,  a  member of the GMA youth-oriented TV show "That's Entertainment" hosted by the late  German "Kuya Germs" Moreno.

Nicasio said that TEAM has been aware of Amante's accomplishments and awards since he became the city's chief executive in 1992. In 2007, the Association of Local Social Welfare and Development Officers of the Philippines, Inc. named him Outstanding City Mayor in the Field of Social Welfare and Development.

Since 1993, under  Amante's leadership, San Pablo City has been chosen as Outstanding Local Government Unit (City Level), a presidential award under a program implemented by the National Economic and Development Council, Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the Department of Health.  Former president Fidel V.
