CAVITE – A Grade 5 student died after falling into a septic tank inside a school campus in Alfonso on Monday, May 20.
A report from the Police Regional Office 4A identified the victim as alias Criszel, 12 years old.
According to the initial investigation by the Alfonso Municipal Police Station, alias Criszel and three others were eating lunch while sitting in a concrete chair on top of a septic tank in Sinaliw Malaki Elementary School.
The structure accidentally collapsed, causing the children to fall into the tank.
The victims were rushed to the hospital, but alias Criszel was declared dead on arrival.
The three other victims, meanwhile, sustained minor injuries.
