All is well now between Francine Diaz and Orange and Lemons.
The two acts were finally able to sort things out between them recently following a meeting.
Note both went viral on social media following a gig in Mindoro wherein Francine supposedly “forced” Orange and lemons off the stage to perform her number.
In an ABS-CBN News report, Orange and Lemons’ Clem Castro related how he was compelled to call for a meeting with Francine as with organizers of the Mindoro gig if only to clarify things, realizing how it has already “exploded” on social media.
“Gusto kong mag-damage control on the matter, because it's getting out of hand. It was so fast. Social media was so fast," Clem said.
"We started to see a lot of hate messages or mentions. You know, it’s a little frustrating and at the same time, stressful. I understand the gravity of the matter, so I asked for an audience.”
According to Clem, the band, Francine and the organizers agreed it was all due to simple “miscommunication.”
Francine has apologized.
She said, “I wasn't thinking properly. Wala ako sa right state of mind… I should've acknowledged them. But because of intimidation, hindi ko po alam 'yung gagawin ko.”
"Nag-apologize din po ako kay Sir Clem, kasi kahit hindi ko po intention na mag-disrespect, ganun po ang nangyari. Ganun 'yung naging kalabasan," she added.
Gig organizer Kylee Dioneda also apologized, maintaining, “Hindi namin maiwasan ang mga ganitong scenario na nangyayari. Talagang, sobrang pasensiya po sa mga nangyari."
Clem and Francine are now talking of a possible collaboration.
Francine related "He offered po, si Sir Clem. He offered na parang kung meron akong gagawing songs in the future, pwede siyang magsulat for me. At kung meron akong sinusulat, pwede niyang mas ayusin pa yun. Ako rin po as my peace offering, ininvite ko po siya sa araw na isho-show 'yung first movie namin ni Seth (Fedelin)."
