Magnolia big man Ian Sangalang couldn’t help but look back to the time when his career was shrouded by uncertainty as he is now back to his old form with a career-high outing in Magnolia’s crucial win over NorthPort on Wednesday, April 10.

Sangalang had his best game with 32 points on top of 13 rebounds since returning to active duty after dealing with thyroid issues that sidelined him for the majority of last season’s Governors’ Cup.
The 32-year-old big man said he just took the experience as a challenge and was glad to overcome it and still play at a high level for the Hotshots.
Sangalang’s career game came at a perfect time for Magnolia which struggled to find its footing at the start of its conference. The Hotshots absorbed two straight losses before finally marching back into the win column.
So siguro it's a wake-up call sa amin yung dalawang sunod na talo namin,” he added.
Hotshots head coach Chito Victolero was also glad to see Sangalang back to his top form and still vowed to support him through thick and thin.
“We all supported Ian, the coaching staff, the management, the players. We all prayed and supported Ian nung time na nandun siya sa mababang morale.
