Malabon LGU adds payment channel for tax payment, business permit renewal
The city government of Malabon teams up with a local bank to make tax payments and business permit renewal payments easier for residents.
Through Land Bank’s “Link.BizPortal,” Malabueños can settle their real property taxes and business permits renewal or application at the convenience of their homes.
“Our partnership with Land Bank made delivery of services for our taxpayers quick, efficient, and safe for them. It is our goal here in Malabon to provide the best services and make sure that we can keep pace with the changes in our world -- digitalization. This alternative payment channel will not just let the residents do the processes at home but it will also lessen the cases of corruption, including ‘fixers’ when doing different transactions,” Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.
Malabon City Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) Officer-in- Charge Russell Besabe said the Link.BizPortal gives those who want to apply for or renew their business permits and pay real property taxes, different options to pay such as e-wallets (G-Cash, PayMaya, etc.), or their other bank accounts.
“Kailangan kasabay na tayo sa pagbabago. Hindi na kailangan 'yung pila-pila, magkakaroon pa ng galit sa pila, ‘pag mahaba ang pila, matagal. Siyempre pati 'yung expenses ng taxpayer nababawasan (We need to keep up with the change. There is no need to queue, there will be anger in the queue, if the queue is long, it will be long. Of course, the taxpayer's expenses are also reduced),” he said.
Taxpayers can also visit the city government’s website (online.gov.malabon.ph) to have the amount of the taxes they have to pay checked/assessed within 2-3 minutes before they use the Link.BizPortal to settle their business permit renewal or real property tax payment.
