CAMP ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – Police Regional Office-2 chief Police Brig. Gen. Christopher Birung congratulated 2,484 police officers in Cagayan Valley for their promotion on Monday, March 25.

Birung, who led the oath-taking, donning, and pinning of ranks of 165 newly promoted Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) and 2,319 Police Non-Commissioned Officers, said that their promotion is not only a significant milestone in their careers but also shows their passion, dedication, and excellent service to law enforcement, guided by compassion, fairness, and a commitment to justice.
“Accepting the duties and responsibilities is not an easy task. It requires an exemplary combination of leadership, integrity, and great sacrifices and services to the community. You are given the responsibility to show off what you still have to do in extending excellent service to the residents in Region 2 and the Police Regional Office- 2,” said Birung.
“Your new title has a corresponding dedication to the principle of justice, fairness, and of becoming a protector of our communities here in the Cagayan Valley region,” he added.
Among those promoted was Police Lt. Col. Pio P. Rañeses, who, in his remarks, cited the importance of responsibility, discipline, and consistency in public service.
The Isabela police had 705 newly promoted PNCOs.
Provincial police chief Police Col. Lee Allen B. Bauding administered their oath-taking and pinning of ranks at the City of Ilagan Community Center on Monday.
