K-pop powerhouse ENHYPEN kicks off ‘Fate Plus’ world tour in Seoul

K-pop powerhouse ENHYPEN launched their “Fate Plus” world tour in Seoul on Feb. 23, drawing thousands of fans. 

Friday’s concert at KSPO Dome, one of the largest indoor venues in South Korea, marked the first in ENHYPEN”s three-day sold-out shows in Seoul. Two more shows will be held on Feb. 24 and 25  

The “Fate Plus” world tour, which was also live-streamed on the Weverse app, showcased a revamped setlist and special segments that ENHYPEN prepared for their fans, ENGENEs.

ENHYPEN (엔하이픈) opened the show with “Drunk-Dazed” followed by “Blockbuster,” “Let Me In (20 CUBE),” “Flicker” and “Fever.”

“We’ve returned well after completing the tour,” Jungwon said as ENHYPEN greeted the audience. 

ENHYPEN finished their “Fate” world tour on Feb. 3 at the New Clark City Stadium in the Philippines, becoming the first K-pop act to stage a concert at the massive venue. 

The “Fate” tour, which also started at KSPO Dome in July last year,  drew over 327,000 fans in 21 shows in 13 cities. 

ENHYPEN made their US stadium debut at Los Angeles’ Dignity Health Sports Park and set the record as the K-pop boy group to headline a solo concert at Tokyo Dome in the shortest period of time since their debut. 

“We actually missed ENGENEs so much. That is why we are back with ‘Fate Plus’ in Seoul,” said Jake.

Sunghoon said, “ENGENE, I missed you so much” while Sunoo said, “I missed you.” 

“Thanks to ENGENE’s strong support, we were able to complete our Japan, US and Asia tour. Thank you once again,” added Jungwon. 

ENHYPEN continued their “Fate Plus” set with “Still Monster,” “Future Perfect (Pass the MIC),” :”Blessed-Cursed,” “Attention, please!,” “ParadoXXX Invasion,” “Tamed-Dashed,” “TFW (That Feeling When),” “Just A Little Bit,” “10 Months,” “Polaroid Love,” “One and Only,” “SHOUT OUT,” “Go Big or Go Home,” “Chaconne,” “Bills,” “Criminal Love,” “One In A Billion,” “Bite Me,” “Sweet Venom,” “Karma” and “Orange Flower (You Complete Me).” 

Among the songs, they performed “Still Monster” for the first time at the “Fate Plus” show. During “Polaroid Love,” ENHYPEN boarded carts that glided across the audience area that allowed the members to get closer to fans. 

For the special stages, Jungwon performed “Sing for You” while Sunghoon sang “Boyfriend.”  

After Seoul, ENHYPEN will be embarking on the US leg of “Fate Plus,” which will start on April 24 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. This will be followed by Oakland Arena in Oakland, California on April 26; Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington on April 28; AllState Arena in Chicago on May 1; and UBS Arena in Belmont Park on May 3. 

As they wrapped up the first day of “Fate Plus” in Seoul, ENHYPEN shared their thoughts. 

“We’re back in Seoul after a long time. This ‘Fate Plus’ concert in Seoul is an encore concert. Thank you so much for coming. Because you are here, we are here,” said Jay. 

Ni-ki said, “Thank you so much for coming today. I love you.” 

“I felt really happy to see you and was happy overall. I had so much fun today. Thank you. I love you,” said Sunoo.

Heeseung said, “I felt so proud that we got to perform for three days. I’m so thankful for you, ENGENEs. I keep this in my heart.”

“With all your voices cheering for us, even if we are tired, we can’t show you we are tired. That drove us to work even harder. Everyone, thank you so much,” said Jungwon. 

Jake said, “While on tour, we went to many places around the world. And we got to meet ENGENEs around the world. And in front of them, we performed and made lots of progress. Thank you, love you.” 

“I am so happy to see you for three days. We’ll do our best to perform. Love you,” said Sunghoon.
