The closure of five offices was in response to Proclamation No. 434 declaring Jan. 9 a special non-working day in the City of Manila in observance of the annual Traslacion or Feast of the Black Nazarene.

In the advisory issued on Jan. 4, PhilHealth said its office located at the JARS Building, 1810 J. P. Laurel St., San Miguel, Manila, and PhilHealth Express offices at Robinsons Manila and Lucky Chinatown Mall will be closed on the designated special non-working day.

There are 11 PhilHealth offices in Manila.

PhilHealth emphasized that during this period, all PhilHealth Customer Assistance, Relations, and Empowerment Staffs (PCARES) as well as PhilHealth personnel stationed at Malasakit Centers will “not be available” at their respective hospital assignments.

"In the meantime, please direct all your PhilHealth-related inquiries to any other nearest PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office," PhilHealth said.

Meanwhile, the health insurance agency assured that the regular working schedule will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

As the city observes this special non-working day, PhilHealth encourages individuals to plan their transactions accordingly and utilize alternative PhilHealth offices for any urgent matters during the temporary closure.
