Senior citizen killed in motorcycle crash in Ilocos Sur

CAMP PRESIDENT QUIRINO, Ilocos Sur – A senior citizen died after the motorcycle she was driving rammed a car on the national highway in Barangay Guimod, Bantay, Ilocos Sur on Wednesday.

Police identified the victim as Wilfreda Pio Guzman, 63, a resident of Barangay San Julian, Magsingal, Ilocos Sur.

Surveillance footage showed that the victim’s motorcycle suddenly occupied the southbound lane and struck the car driven by Ysraelle M. Savella, 23, a Sangguniang Kabataan chairperson and resident of Barangay Quezon, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur.

Savella was unhurt but his car sustained damage.

Guzman died on the way to the hospital.
