Parts of Rizal and Makati will experience water disruptions from Friday, Sept. 8 to next week Thursday, Sept. 14.
Manila Water Co., one of Metro Manila’s water concessionaires, has scheduled line maintenance in these areas to avoid any serious issues within the community’s plumbing systems.
To lessen any inconvenience, these activities will be conducted during off-peak hours.
Below are the maintenance schedules and the areas affected:
Sept. 8 to 9, from 10 PM to 4 AM
Cainta and Taytay, Rizal – Parts of Brgy. San Juan
Sept. 12 to 13, from 10 PM to 4 AM
Antipolo, Rizal – Parts of Brgy. Muntidilaw
Cainta, Rizal – Parts of Brgy. Sto. Domingo
Sept. 13 to 14, from 10 PM to 4 AM
Makati City – Parts of Brgy. Pinagkaisahan and Guadalupe Nuevo
Residents are urged to prepare enough water stock before the scheduled maintenance in their areas.
Meanwhile, Manila Water has also updated the Dam Levels in Metro Manila on Friday, Sept. 8.
According to the Dam Watch, the dams continue to rise near their spill level.
Angat is now at 204.26 meters, only 12.7 m away from its maximum depth, and La Mesa is now 79.57 m, which is 0.58 meters away from overflowing.
Ipo Dam is also 0.54 m away from spilling and is now at 100.46 m.
The recent rainfall could have contributed to the current amount of dams and has been expected to last until next year’s El Niño.
Despite this, Manila Water still reminds the public to conserve water no matter the weather and/or season. (Gabriell Christel Galang)
