Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Cubao Station (PS 7) personnel launched an investigation on the robbery incident at a supermarket in Cubao, Quezon City, on Thursday, Sept. 7.
Police said around P270,000 sales from various establishments inside the supermarket were stolen.
According to the police report, Kristine Villaceran, the branch manager of the supermarket, conducted an inspection on the establishments at 6:30 a.m., on Thursday, when she discovered the lost sales of the supermarket.
Based on a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage on Thursday, Sept. 7, police said two individuals dressed in white lab gowns, were seen entering the premises by cutting a square-shaped opening on the roof of the building, which served as both their entry and exit points.
The suspects entered a branch of a fast food chain in the building at 11 p.m. and took P152,000 sales, thereafter they proceeded to another fast food store and a Jewelry shop but none was robbed there.
Moreover, the suspects also went to a hardware store and stole P93,000 worth of sales and some hardware tools.
They also tried to rob from a pawnshop and an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) but they failed.
Lastly, they entered the supermarket's cash finance department and took the P5,000.
According to the operatives, an extensive parallel investigation and ongoing follow-up operation are being carried out by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) in coordination with PS 7 operatives, to identify and possibly apprehend the suspects.
