Telecom giant PLDT Group reported that it sustained the leadership of its enterprise or B2B business which grew two percent to P23.2 billion in service revenues despite the challenges faced in the first half of the year.
The firm said revenues were driven by a significant 13 percent growth in its ICT business, consisting of data center, multi-cloud, and a suite of Fixed and Wireless Solutions.
Data remains to be a main driver for growth for PLDT where data and broadband now account for 82 percent of its total revenues.
Enterprise Corporate data revenue increases were propelled by higher fiber, managed IT and iGate revenues, with data center colocation and Cloud uptake having surged 23 percent and 32 percent, respectively, from the same period last year.

“Enterprise, along with the other business units, continue to build and drive business growth showing positive trends in our metrics,” said PLDT and Smart President and CEO Alfredo S. Panlilio.
He noted that, “we continue to help elevate companies by enabling transformation, as we see the push for our data center colocation and cloud services as the main drivers for growth in our Enterprise business.”
On the other hand, PLDT said its international services posted a 31 percent increase in revenue from Enterprise international private leased circuits or IPLCs, carrier wholesale, and cross connects in the Asia Pacific.
“In further building and expanding growth in our fixed, wireless, and ICT businesses, our group remains committed to transforming industries and supporting businesses in the country, whether big or small, with solutions that provide our customers with the best chance at further success,” said PLDT and Smart First Vice President and Head of Enterprise and International Business Groups Mitch Locsin.
He said that, “additionally, through our strong collaboration with our government partners, we strive to further build on our thriving IT ecosystem and gain stronger ground to attract global hyperscalers to invest here in the Philippines.”
Apart from the expansion projects in the capacities of its existing data centers earlier this year, PLDT subsidiary ePLDT is set to launch its 11th data center in Sta. Rosa, Laguna by the second quarter of 2024, while conceptualization of a 12th data center with a total power capacity of up to 100MW is already being evaluated.
ePLDT is the pioneer and largest data center operator in the Philippines with ten data centers in its portfolio.
PLDT continues to drive innovation, forging strategic partnerships and investing in ICT infrastructure to power the country’s economic aspirations.
As of end-June 2023, the PLDT Group has further expanded its total fiber footprint to over 1.1 million kilometers, consisting of over 231,000 kilometers of international fiber and over 885,000 kilometers of domestic fiber passing around 17.2 million homes in 43 percent of the country’s barangays.
Further enabling the country’s digitalization, PLDT’s extensive fiber infrastructure enables Smart’s approximately 73,800 base stations, including around 4,700 5G base stations and about 38,800 4G/LTE base stations deployed nationwide.
