Missing man found dead near Ilocos Norte creek

PAOAY, Ilocos Norte – The body of a man reported missing on August 29 was found near a creek in Sitio Bacung, Barangay 20, Paratong, this town on Wednesday.

Police identified the victim as Silvestre Barcelon Bonaobra, 59, a resident of Barangay 18, Tabog, Batac City, Ilocos Norte.

Bonaobra was recognized by his wife through his silver ring and scar on his left leg. 

Examination said the victim died due to drowning.

His body was already in a state of decomposition when it was found.
