BAYUGAN CITY, Agusan del Sur – Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft was named vice chairman of the Caraga Regional Peace and Order Council.
Kraft was sworn in during the RPOC third quarter meeting here on Thursday, September 7.
Surigao del Sur Gov. Alexander T. Pimentel inducted Kraft, witnessed by the chiefs of different agencies and local chief executives Agusan del Norte Gov. Maria Angelica M. Amante, Agusan del Sur Gov. Santiago B. Cane Jr., Dinagat Islands Gov. Nilo Demerey Jr., and Mayor Kirk A. Asis here.
Also present during the meeting were Brig. Gen. Francisco F. Lorenzon Jr., commanding general of the Army 401st Infantry Brigade; Brig. Gen. Adonis Ariel G. Orio, commanding general of the Army 402nd Infantry (Stingers) Brigade, and Brig. Gen. George L. Banzon, commanding general of the Army 901st Infantry Brigade.
Among the topics discussed during the meeting were the implementation of the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) and the individual performance reports from agencies involved in peace, security, and public safety in the region.
“Being installed as the RPOC vice chairman is a great challenge considering the tasks that await in addressing the problems related to peace and order in Caraga region,” Kraft said.
“In our quest for peace and order, we are all aware that the challenges are many. However, I believe when we work together as a team, no task is too daunting to be successfully accomplished.”
Under Executive Order No. 739, the RPOC meeting is a forum for dialogue and deliberation on major issues and concerns affecting peace and order, including insurgency.
The council must come up with recommendations that will improve the peace and order and public safety measures across the region in the meeting.
