Cloud clusters spotted outside the country’s area of responsibility may develop into a low-pressure area (LPA), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said in its 4 a.m. weather update on Friday, Sept. 8.
PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said cloud clusters were being monitored near Taiwan and over the Pacific Ocean.
Meanwhile, he said the weak southwest monsoon or “habagat” may still affect the western portions of Northern and Central Luzon in the next 24 hours.
“Fair” weather due to partly cloudy to cloudy skies will be experienced in most of the country.
However, isolated rain showers may still occur due to localized thunderstorms.
"Although, maganda at maaliwalas ang panahon, may tyansa pa rin ng mga isolated na pag-ulan dulot ng thunderstorm (Although, the weather is fair and good, there is still a chance of isolated rain showers due to thunderstorms), Aurelio added.
Hot and humid weather conditions are also expected in Metro Manila with a temperature of 34 degrees Celsius on Friday. (Lizst Torres Abello)
