Singaporean musician Zhang Yifei released her debut album "Me and Me" worldwide on Aug. 25.

During a Zoom with the entertainment media recently, Zhang said the album includes seven carefully crafted music works that combine melodious folk songs and fast-paced music. 

The album's seven tracks tell stories of overcoming struggles and celebrating the journey of self-love. They are: "Expect," "With the Wind," "Normal Heart," "Moonlight," "Regain," "Light," and "Happiness In Me."

Pop music is a perfect combination of classical and modern elements, inspired by Zhang's personal experiences and worldview. Her vision shares life experiences, inspires symphonies about love and life and showcases a unique style and charm.

"Me and Me" is a woman's honest and intimate inner confession. It is a dialogue with the soul because the world is too noisy, with too many voices and thoughts. 

"By listening to your heart quietly, you can accept and appreciate yourself, cherish the present, and experience true happiness and joy," Zhang said during a Zoom with the Philippine media recently.

Zhang's latest album has helped her realize a lifelong dream. She hopes that her music will inspire women, especially those who are in the same age group as her, to break free from societal norms and take control of their own lives. Her message is clear: don't settle for a life that others define for you, but live life on your own terms.

She's a versatile artist who is passionate about both visual art and music, and actively creates in various forms.

After practicing for years and persevering with affectionate interpretation, she now shares her artistic creations with the world. 

She is a performer trained in classical music. Her creations are very pictorial without lyrics, telling stories that stir the soul, and skillfully lay out the essence of life experience. 

Each of Zhang's works has a unique and charming narrative, evoking different emotions and thoughts, and unexpectedly walking into her life journey. Her songs represent a distinct stage and philosophy of life, conveying messages of self-acceptance, self-reliance, and ultimately self-love.

Zhang also enjoys pushing her limits, taking on challenges, and exploring new opportunities. 

Following the release of her album, Zhang will hold a digital art exhibition dubbed "Metamorphosis" which will be held at the Singapore Art The House (Old Parliament House) from Nov. 5-6. 

In her debut art showcase, she asserts that age should never deter one from pursuing their passions.
