The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) has submitted a provisional 22-member Filipinas lineup for its upcoming debut in Asian Games this September in China.
The list, though, subject to change, included most of the players who suited up for the FIFA Women’s World Cup last July.

Tahnai Annis, Alicia Barker, Sarina Bolden, Reina Bonta, Jessica Cowart, Malea Cesar, Sara Eggesvik, Isabella Flanigan, Kiara Fontanilla, Carleigh Frilles, Katrina Guillou, Sofia Harrison, Maya Alcantara, Hali Long, Eva Madarang, Chandler McDaniel, Olivia McDaniel, Inna Palacios, Quinley Quezada, Dominique Randle, Jacklyn Sawicki and Meryll Serrano made the initial cut.
Madarang, Alcantara and Palacios were part of the Alen Stajcic-named roster that flew to Australia for camp but wasn’t included in the final cut for the football showpiece.
Newly appointed Philippine women’s national football team coach Mark Torcaso has initially said that many players made themselves available and are just awaiting call-up from the Philippine Football Federation (PFF).
However, the Asiad, which is set from Sept. 23 to Oct. 8, is not part of the FIFA international calendar, making the players’ availability a problem particularly those fulfilling club duties overseas.
The roster was only submitted as part of the committee’s compliance to the organizers of the continental tournament.
While most members from the World Cup were called for the Asiad, Filipinas defender Angela Beard was left out of the initial roster following her recent signing with Linköping FC in Sweden and is seeing action in the Women’s Champions League.
The Torcaso-coached Filipinas are looking to assemble in China for their second camp ahead of the Asiad.
