Former world title contender Jonas Sultan dominated American Frank Gonzales with a unanimous decision win in their super bantamweight bout on Wednesday, Sept. 6, at the White Sands Event Center in Plant City, Florida.

Sultan came out sizzling from the opening bell and knocked down Gonzales twice to easily get the nod of the judges and prevail in their eight-round showdown.
The Zamboanga del Norte native improved to 19-6 with 11 knockouts, while Gonzales absorbed his fourth loss.
Coming from a 17-month layoff, Sultan immediately sprung to action and unleashed a powerful uppercut that dropped his foe in the second round. As if it was not enough to impress the judges, the Filipino boxer scored another knockdown in the fifth round.
The 32-year-old Sultan previously suffered a decision loss to British boxer Paul Butler for the interim WBO bantamweight title in England in 2022.
