Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando and Vice Governor Alex C. Castro on Wednesday, Sept. 6, continued the distribution of relief packages in Hagonoy town to flood victims.
They turned over thousands of food packs to the village captains for the victims adversely affected by the recent southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon Hanna along with high tide that caused flooding in some barangays.
They said that in all the relief operations they have so far conducted in several towns in Bulacan, Bulakenyos proved their resiliency in times of adversity.
They vowed to look for long-term solutions to alleviate the flooding in Bulacan which has become a catch basin for all water coming from the uplands.
"Patuloy po tayong manalangin para sa pagkakaisa ng bawat Bulakenyo. Kaya natin ito!," ("Let us continue to pray for unity to prevail among us . We can do this! )," Castro said.
