GoPro unveils HERO12 Black in the Philippines with enhanced features for professional and casual users

Available for P24,990, the new HERO12 Black features extended battery life, 4K HDR video, and wireless AirPods support

GoPro, Inc. has launched its latest flagship camera, HERO12 Black, in the Philippines, with pre-orders available today.  The new camera has impressive features, including 5.3K and 4K HDR video, extended battery life, and wireless audio support for Apple AirPods and other Bluetooth devices.  The new product offers features that could benefit professional and casual users in capturing their adventures.

Priced at P24,990, HERO12 Black is available for pre-order at various online and offline retailers, including GoPro Official LazMall and Shopee Mall Stores.  Customers can order at GoPro Authorized Partners nationwide, such as Abenson, Camerahaus, Colours Foto, Electroworld, and Henry's Cameras.  The camera is scheduled for nationwide availability on September 14, along with its new accessory, Max Lens Mod 2.0, priced at P7,490.

Building on the successful performance of its predecessor, HERO12 Black offers up to twice the battery life, thanks to its redesigned power management system.  It captures high dynamic range (HDR) video in market-leading 5.3K and 4K resolution and boasts an improved HyperSmooth 6.0 video stabilization feature.

Notably, the camera includes several new professional-oriented capabilities that benefit casual users.  These include:

Wireless Audio Support: It supports wireless audio devices like Apple AirPods, which are ideal for vlogging and scene narration.
 
GP-Log and LUTs: Advanced users can utilize GP-Log with available Look Up Tables (LUTs) for better control in post-production color grading.

Wireless Timecode Sync: Professionals can sync an unlimited number of HERO12 Black cameras for easy multi-camera editing in programs like Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier.

Optimized Encoding: The new system delivers smaller file sizes without compromising image quality.

The HERO12 Black camera is being released alongside an additional accessory, the Max Lens Mod 2.0.  This new add-on provides a 177-degree field of view while maintaining a 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.  The design of this accessory aims to make it easier for users to capture wide-angle perspectives, enhancing the range of visual storytelling possibilities for various types of adventures and activities.

To enhance the user experience further, GoPro announced the upcoming launch of its new Quik desktop app.  The app will be available to GoPro subscribers at no additional cost starting from November 1 for Mac and Summer 2024 for Windows.  It will sync with the Quik mobile app for seamless cross-platform editing and content management.
