2 drug pushers nabbed, yield P177,000 shabu

BACOLOD CITY – Two suspected drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay 4, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, September 7.

Police identified the suspects as San Carlos City residents Carlito Layagon, 45, and Libra Dawn Villarante, 35.

Suspects yielded 26 grams of suspected shabu worth P177,480.

Both are street-level individuals, police said.

Police Major Ryan Villasario, deputy chief of the San Carlos City Police Station, said the suspects were subjected to monitoring after they learned that Layagon returned to the illegal drugs trade in partnership with Villarante.

Villasario said that Layagon was jailed for a drug offense and was released through plea bargaining.
