BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude-4.4 earthquake rocked Davao Occidental province on Wednesday morning, September 6.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the tremor was recorded at 8:07 a.m. and its epicenter was 320 kilometers (kms) southeast of Balut Island, municipality of Sarangani, Davao Occidental.
The tremor had a depth of 161 kms, Phivolcs said.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Southern Mindanao and Davao Occidental Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported no damage or injury from the earthquake.
