Chinese wanted for kidnapping, serious illegal detention arrested in Parañaque

A Chinese man accused of kidnapping and serious illegal detention was arrested by members of the Southern Police District (SPD) Intelligence Section of the District Mobile Force Battalion (DMFB) in Parañaque City on Tuesday night, Sept. 5.

SPD Director Brig. Gen. Roderick Mariano identified the suspect as Chenglong Xu, 25.

Mariano said Xu, who was listed in the police gallery as a wanted person, was arrested at around 6:30 p.m. along Quirino Avenue, Tambo,  Parañaque City.

He said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Leilano Marie Dacanay-Grimares of Parañaque Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 294 for kidnapping and serious illegal detention.

The suspect was immediately detained at the custodial facility of the Parañaque police.
