PolyEast Records’ pop R&B artist Cedric Escobar is finally back in the Philippines after having a productive tour for the OPM Summer Fest 2023. Although he’s relatively new to the industry, he already got the opportunity to introduce himself globally by singing for the Filipino audience.

With OPM’s big acts, such as Rivermaya, Gloc-9, Ito Rapadas of Neocolours, and Introvoys, he successfully performed in major cities in the United States and Canada, such as Las Vegas, New York, Hawaii, and Toronto.

“My experience in this tour will remain a core memory for me,” Cedric shares. “Bonding with and learning from these living legends positively impacted me not only as a musician but as a person. I am motivated more than ever to achieve these individuals' success and inspire as many people as they have.”

Unlike his live performances abroad doing covers before signing with PolyEast Records, wherein he just sang covers of songs by other artists, Cedric could finally sing his songs on the OPM Summer Fest Tour. “I got to sing “‘di na ba” and by doing so, I’m remembered as my musician.”

Coming home to the country, Cedric excitingly adds, “I had never been more motivated to become my own kind of artist and create more music and a name for myself.”

Already out with two singles “‘di na ba” and “Gasera,” we can expect more music to come from him. This September 29, he will be releasing his own rendition of Sugarfree’s “Wag Ka Nang Umiyak.”

Meanwhile, you can also stream Cedric’s new EP “Mellow –” a collection of his version of OPM timeless hits of Joey Albert, Jamie Rivera, Carol Banawa, Donna Cruz and Pops Fernandez– which is now uploaded on his YouTube channel and on all digital music streaming platforms.

Accompanied by Jem Florendo (musical arrangement and keyboards) and Kiko Llorin (cello), Cedric shared his live recordings of hit songs “Million Miles Away,” “Mahal Naman Kita,” “Bakit ‘Di Totohanin,” “Don’t Say Goodbye,” and “Ikaw Lang at Ako” which are mixed and mastered by James Narvaez.

Other than this, he is also featured in the new single “Kaibigan” along with his fellow PolyEast Records artists who are collectively called The LiVeRARY– a concept project created to showcase an impressive array of young talents through live performances.
