Cavite City lights up Christmas display ahead of founding anniversary

Cavite City kicked off the Holiday season early with a Christmas tree lighting event on Tuesday, Sept. 5.

The local government unit (LGU) decked the city hall with colorful lights and a giant Christmas tree with an artificial snowfall setup.

The city government also opened a food fair featuring Caviteño culinary treats in Samonte Park.

Mayor Denver Chua, meanwhile, announced the declaration of a special non-working holiday in celebration of Cavite City’s founding anniversary.

Work and classes at all levels in the city are suspended on Thursday, Sept. 7, to give way to community activities.
