Among the appointed Cabinet Officers for Regional Development and Security (CORDS), Magno said he would do his best in the job assigned to him.

CORDS designation in regions aims to harmonize the functions and contributions of the Regional Development Council and the Regional Peace and Order Council, among others.

Magno was sworn in on August 31 at the Heroes Hall in Malacañang by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

Vice President Sara Z. Duterte and National Security Adviser Eduardo Año, vice chairmen of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), witnessed the oathtaking.

Marcos presided over the second NTF-ELCAC Executive Committee Meeting where the proposal to include 11 other government agencies in the executive committee was discussed.

There are now 32 regular executive committee members of the NTF-ELCAC from 21.

New members of the committee were the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Transportation, Department of Tourism, Department of Energy, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Department of Health and the Department of Migrant Workers.
