Muntinlupa City has achieved a zero active Covid-19 status, a major feat since the pandemic started in 2020, the local government said.
It announced that as of Sept. 4, there's no more active Covid-19 cases in Muntinlupa as confirmed by its City Health Office.
“Magandang balita, Muntinlupeños! Wala nang aktibong kaso ng Covid-19 sa lungsod ayon sa datos ng City Health Office, as of September 4, 2023 (Good news, Muntinlupeños! There is no longer an active case of Covid-19 in the city according to data from the City Health Office, as of September 4, 2023),” the city government announced.

In the latest data, there were zero new Covid-19 cases recorded in the past week. Since 2020, Muntinlupa has recorded 47,315 new cases.
There were two patients who recovered from Covid-19 in the past week, rising from 46,648 as of Aug. 28 to 46,650 as of Sept. 8.
There were zero deaths from Covid-19 in the past week. There have been 665 deaths in Muntinlupa from Covid-19 since 2020.
The Department of Health (DOH) recorded Muntinlupa’s first Covid-19 case in March 2020: a 44-year-old female with no travel history. She was treated at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Alabang.
Nationwide, the DOH reported that from Aug. 28 to Sept. 3, there were 780 new Covid-19 cases in the Philippines, or a daily average of 111, three percent lower compared to the total from Aug. 21 to 27.
There are 10 additional severe and critical cases, and five deaths verified in the past week.
