3 minors drown in Pangasinan

MALASIQUI, Pangasinan – Three children drowned while swimming in a deep hole filled with rain water near the bypass road construction site in Barangay Cabatling here on Monday afternoon, September 5.

Police identified the victims as siblings Prince Rodz, 9, and Reynald Matthew, 7, and their cousin Richard Dean, 9, all residents of Quezon Boulevard, Barangay Poblacion, this town.

The victims’ cousins, Angelo and Lucas, noticed that they were in distress and drowning.

The two children sought assistance from bystanders who contacted rescuers here.  

They were taken to the Malasiqui Municipal Hospital where the victims were declared dead.
