Published Sep 4, 2023 02:48 am

The City of Manila local government announced the suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools in the city on Monday, Sept. 4, following the issuance of a yellow rainfall advisory by the state weather bureau.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan said both face-to-face and online classes are suspended today.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAG ASA) said the southwest monsoon and Typhoon Hannah brought heavy rains to Metro Manila and parts of Luzon.

The Manila Traffic And Parking Bureau (MTPB) advised motorists to drive attentively as roads become slippery due to heavy rainfall.
