CAVITE – Several local government units in Cavite suspended classes on Monday, Sept. 4, due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon Hanna.
Classes in all levels in both public and private schools are canceled in Bacoor City, Cavite City, Dasmariñas City, Kawit, Naic, and Noveleta.
The Municipality of Tanza suspended on-site classes on all levels, public and private, and announced that modular distance learning will be implemented.
Imus City, meanwhile, canceled afternoon classes on all levels, public and private. In a Facebook post, Mayor Alex Advincula explained that morning classes were not suspended because heavy rainfall is not expected until later in the day.
