3 Bulacan dams' water levels continue to rise due to heavy rains
The Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) said on Monday, Sept. 4, that the southwest monsoon enhanced by Typhoon “Hanna” brought rains that helped increase the water level of the three big dams in the province of Bulacan.
The water level in Angat Dam rose to 202.31 meters, from 199.23 meters on Friday, Sept.1 (the normal high water level is 212.00 meters).

Meanwhile, Ipo Dam was at 101.01 meters (above the spilling level of 101.00 meters) and Bustos Dam at 16.98 meters (a bit below the spilling level of 17.00 meters).
Calumpit Mayor Lem Faustino announced that in person classes in all levels, both public and private, were suspended on Monday, Sept. 4, due to continuous rains brought by the southwest monsoon and the effects of high tide.
Mayor Faustino advised the public to stay indoors and keep monitoring the rainfall advisories and weather updates. Students were advised to adopt distance learning or modular classes.

On Saturday, Sept. 2, Marilao Mayor Henry R. Lutao and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) visited Barangay Tabing Ilog and distributed food packs to flood victims.
