A man was killed while a Chinese national was injured when they were attacked by three drunk men at a resto bar in Barangay Ibayo, Marilao, Bulacan on Sunday, Sept. 3.
In a report sent to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the victims were identified as Arnel Araneta of Barangay Bancal City of Meycauayan who was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital; and Yongsheng Guo, who was born in Fujin, China, and a resident of Greenhills East City, Mandaluyong City.
Investigation showed that after a drinking session at a local bar, the victims were suddenly attacked by individuals under the influence of liquor.
The suspects were arrested and identified as Joshua Dilao, Daryl Jacob De Leon, and Allen Nicolas Gepila.
Araneta was rushed to a hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
In the police report, the cause of Araneta's death was not stated.
Appropriate criminal complaints have been prepared against the arrested suspects for filing in court.
Meanwhile, Guiguinto authorities successfully served a warrant of arrest on Sunday, Sept. 3, to Marilyn Legada, 58, of Guiguinto. The warrant was issued on August 31, 2023, for the crime of falsification by private individuals.
In Santa Maria, a robbery incident occurred on the same day.
Police said the victim, the NA Dev Corp. represented by JJ Jovellanos, a civil engineer, reported about the theft of assorted metal scraps from their building.
The suspect, Ryan Morlade, was arrested by patrolling authorities after being found in possession of the stolen items.
The incident was reported to the barangay and subsequently to the police station for investigation.
The Bulacan police director said they are devoted to keeping a safe community that is free from criminal activities.
"The ability to stop individuals who incite fear and use violence in the community shows how steadfastly committed they are in battling lawlessness and violence for the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Election 2023," Arnedo said.
