The Parañaque city government conducted a mini job fair on Friday, Sept. 29 at SM Sucat, offering 108 job vacancies.
Mayor Eric Olivarez said 20 companies participated in the mini job fair.
Olivarez said 176 residents applied for a job and 15 of them were immediately hired-on-the spot.
He assured residents during the job fair that the city government will be working hard to help unemployed and newly graduated residents find a job.
The mayor said the city government is strictly implementing its ordinance wherein 40 percent of the workforce in every company in the city must be city residents.
