BUTUAN CITY – Police seized shabu worth more than P1 million and arrested a drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bayanihan here on Wednesday, September 27.

Police Regional Office-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft identified the suspect as “Jack,” a resident of Barangay Ampayon, this city, and tagged as a high-value individual.

Seized from Jack were 150 grams of suspected shabu, a weighing scale, drug paraphernalia, and a motorcycle.

Jack was arrested in 2017 for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 or Republic Act 9165 and was released through plea bargaining in 2020, Kraft said.

Police are conducting follow-up investigation to locate the suspect’s contacts.

"We will employ every resource at our disposal to track down these high-value individuals involved in selling illegal drugs,” Kraft said.

“We stand firm in our resolve to protect the people from the devastating impact of substance abuse and ensure that those responsible face the full force of the law."
