43 families affected by fire receive construction materials from Malabon LGU

Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval along with the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD) distributed construction materials to 43 families who were affected by the fire in Barangay Catmon, Malabon City on Sept 18.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, Sept. 30, Mayor Sandoval said they distributed 43 sets of construction materials which included plywood, good lumbers and galvanized irons (GI) sheets, half kilo of concrete wood nails and GI nails, hammer, and wood saw to help the residents of Sitio 6 in Gov. Pascual, Barangay Catmon, Malabon City repair their roofs and homes.
Sandoval lauded the residents of Sitio 6 for the spirit of unity.
"I am deeply grateful for the spirit of unity shown by the residents of Sitio 6, who assisted in extinguishing the factory fire on September 18. Their homes were damaged as they had to use their roofs to help quickly put out the fire," she said.

"Your heroism is immeasurable. Thank you so much, my fellow countrymen, for your generous and compassionate hearts," she added.
According to the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), the fire at Gov. Pascual Street, Barangay Catmon, Malabon City was raised to the first alarm at around 10:06 p.m.
The fire reached the third alarm at around 10:13 a.m. and was contained at around 11:30 a.m.
